A good ritual is based on your wishes, my part as a celebrant is to lovingly support and facilitate. To clarify this ritual need, I feel it is important to invest in a thorough intake - a dialogue actually - because a bespoke ritual can only be created in cooperation.

Non-binding introductory meeting: what are your wishes and what are the possibilities?
Intake: attentive, creative. Together we will distil the theme.
Designing the first version of the ritual.
Aligning the first version with you: are we on the right track?
Picking a date, time, location and people you might want to attend.
Final design and final fine-tuning with you.
Performing the ritual.
Follow-up meeting: often a week or two later.

My experience is that the intake already sets something in motion. A little door is opened, which leads to the ritual already beginning to unfold. After an intake, I often give the invitation to further explore the theme of the ritual with questions such as: which scents and colours make you happy? Is there a specific music that comes to your mind? What is your comfort food? Anything that pops up can be extra input for creating your ritual. And if nothing comes up? Then that’s totally fine too.

Costs

A tailor-made ritual also requires a tailor-made rate. The size of the ritual affects the costs. I make a distinction between the ritual (including intake, design, performing the ritual, and the follow-up) on the one hand and the costs for any materials, travel expenses or other necessities on the other. For the latter, I usually like to agree on a budget together, so that you determine the framework within which I spend.
