My ritual with Renske was a valuable and surprising experience. Renske is a warm and empathetic person and in the preparatory and investigative meeting there was plenty of room for emotion, playfulness, creativity, for thinking and feeling, for discovering and exploring. After this, Renske prepared and designed a beautiful ritual for me, and being able to perform this brought a number of unexpected and beautiful insights. The memory of that afternoon still brings a smile to my face, and the power of those insights is still very palpable.

The ritual with Renske did me a lot of good! The theme, saying goodbye to heaviness, was not new to me and I have worked on it in different ways over the past few years. The ritual was the crowning glory of that work. By giving it a physical form and making time for it, literally transforming it into a ritual, the theme had a chance to ‘sink’ for me. In the days and weeks that followed I was often emotional and still processing what had happened. That was good. I notice now, a few months later, that I have arrived in an new space, a new relationship, to the heaviness in my family. It doesn’t have a hold on me anymore. I’m loser about it. Much lighter and easy going. Very nice!

I would describe Renske her working method as very careful, nuanced, inviting. The preliminary phase was important. During an ‘intake’ meeting, the theme was discussed and I gave words to it and chose the appropriate theme for me from a large number of pictures, so that Renske got a grip on what it was all about for me. She listened very carefully and this was reflected in all kinds of details during the ritual itself. It felt very complete, and I felt heard, seen and safe. That was important to be able to let go in the moment: to put myself in Renske her hands. She took care of the bedding, the timing, the whole performance, so that I could surrender completely to what it was about for me. Renske has a pleasant presence. She is there, she takes the lead and provides the framework, but she also gives you all the time and space needed. She distances herself when needed. She has a good feeling for these things. That really contributed to the fact that I didn’t have to worry about anything during the ritual. These details make me feel at ease, free to surrender to the experience, and that ultimately ensured the effect of the ritual. Mission accomplished. Well done Renske!

At my request, Renske designed a ritual for me and my family. My children are grown-up, but I couldn’t let go of them very well. I used to worry about them a lot. I wished to “hold” them differently, staying involved but no longer having to worry about the day-to-day things. I wanted to let them know that they can always come to me/us, but that they can go their own way. In addition, I longed to be more carefree and cheerful in life. It became a beautiful ritual, designed by Renske with great sensitivity and executed in detail. She came up with the symbol of a tree from which the birds fly away but also regularly return.

The ritual was performed outside near a large tree. It was a stormy day: we witnessed rain, wind, sun and a rainbow. All within the hour in which the ritual took place. That was so special! In the months that followed, I noticed myself becoming calmer and less worried. I have faith that my children are doing well and that they can handle the setbacks they receive. (The ritual took place during a period in which I was working on self-development in several areas, experiencing the ritual was one of the things that helped me move on.)

Renske is a very nice person, you feel safe to tell her anything. She also fine-tuned her ideas while creating the ritual. I liked that, I didn’t need to know everything but I did want to stay close to my feelings and the things I like. By consulting with me, this was 100% successful, while there were also elements in the ritual that were a surprise to me. Thank you dear Renske for this beautiful ritual!
